Las Vegas, NV
Vegas, baby! Having been here before, we decided to make a pit stop in the only city where all indulgences meet: fine dining, gambling, and even premier entertainment. Las Vegas is certainly a one-of-a-kind city where anything can happen.
Our time was limited, but it was easy to agree about which activities we would enjoy while there. We chose the Mob Museum, Meow Wolf's Omega Mart, and the Hoover Dam.
Both the Mob Museum and Omega Mart were very entertaining. If you can, go for the extras. The Mob Museum offers special experiences. We opted for the Distillery & Firearm Experience. It was definitely worthwhile. Omega Mart offers a card you can buy for just a few dollars that allows you to partake in the mysterious happenings surrounding the company. Again, totally worth it.
What was not so worthwhile was the experience that HHC challenges you with. HHC (Hot Houston Chicken) has a "HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM" spiced chicken (pictured below). You must be 18 years or older and will have to sign a waiver to order this piece of chicken. My advice: No matter how curious you are, just don't do it. It will not agree with your body.
What will agree with your body, however, is a day trip to the Hoover Dam. If you want to go outdoors and away from the smoke, I highly recommend this. You can walk and drive over the dam, as well as take tours of its inner workings.
My only tip for all three adventures: Go early or at an off-peak time. Avoid the crowd and truly enjoy the experience.
